Volunteering with the 3241 Foundation takes different forms depending on what you bring and what our programmes need at any given time. Current volunteer opportunities include:
- Mentorship — a minimum six-month commitment to one child in our Orphan Support Programme. Weekly check-ins, help with schoolwork, and simply being a trusted adult presence.
- Food parcel packing and distribution — physical work, usually on weekday mornings, coordinated by our operations team.
- Skills facilitation — if you have a professional skill (accounting, IT, cooking, sewing, construction, healthcare) we can match you with our training programme.
- Administrative support — remote or on-site, helping with programme coordination, donor communication, reporting and logistics.
- Wildlife programme volunteers — working with the Thaba Eco Park team on animal care, habitat maintenance and community education. Prior animal handling experience preferred.
We ask all volunteers to attend a brief orientation session before beginning. This covers our safeguarding policy, our approach to beneficiary dignity, and the specific protocols for your volunteer role.
Volunteering is not about feeling good. It is about being useful. If you can commit to that, we would love to have you.
